In this episode, we spend time with Emily Cortright and Adam Roberts!  Emily and Adam are both aerospace engineers.  They realized that they needed to diversify the source of their income from just relying on corporate America.  In 2013, Emily got her real estate license and began buying single-family houses to flip and hold as rental properties.  Since then, Emily and Adam have ventured into multifamily investing and notes.

 

A bit more about Emily and Adam:

• Emily Cortright and Adam Roberts are dynamic real estate investors who have undergone remarkable shifts in mindset and investment strategies throughout their entrepreneurial journey.
• Emily and Adam initially held prominent positions as engineers in operations and supply chain at General Electric (GE) and were climbing the corporate ladder with ambition. In 2013, they made a pivotal decision to venture into real estate investing, marking the beginning of their wealth-building journey.
• Initially, Emily led their investing efforts, specializing in single-family flip and rental properties. As market trends shifted, Adam and Emily identified a growing opportunity in the multifamily housing sector and transitioned focus to large multifamily syndications in 2017.
• After 5 years dedicated to multifamily, Emily and Adam continued their journey of adaptation and growth in a different sector of the real estate market: notes and banking. This provided an opportunity for diversification and cash-flowing investment options for their investors.
• Emily and Adam strive to inspire others to embrace a wealth-building mindset and explore new horizons in the world of real estate investing.
• Adam is a Coach/Mentor for a prominent Multifamily education program, and Emily teaches a variety of wealth-building classes at Keller Williams offices across the country.
• Emily and Adam live in Fort Worth, Texas, and enjoy traveling, pursuing a healthy lifestyle, listening to live music, and spending time with their 2-year-old daughter.
